Located lakefront in the heart of downtown Kelowna, the Kelowna Yacht Club provides our members with top-quality moorage in Canada's largest fresh-water basin, excellent variety of food and beverage service, social events and many opportunities to volunteer as a part of the community. Being a not-for-profit organization, Kelowna Yacht Club has been supporting boater education and safe, responsible enjoyment of Okanagan Lake since 1945. Our facility is a resource for community partners such as the Canadian Power and Sail Squadron and Adaptive Sailing Association

.Responsibilities of the Role:
- Greet, serve and acknowledge guests in a friendly and polite manner
- Know the menu and features and answer questions
- Create espresso and tea related beverages
- Provide accurate and timely order taking and delivery
- Follow up with customers in a timely manner of your delivery to ensure quality and 100% guest satisfaction
- Replenish supplies throughout your shift
- Clean and wipe down all tables and chairs; machines and supplies per Club standards, and maintain cafe cleanliness throughout your shift
- Demonstrate and maintain excellent grooming and uniform standards
- Encourage, and be a part of a respectful workplace
- Observe and maintain all industry safety standards
Desired Skills and Experience:
- 1+ years of barista experience
- Must be able to work days
- Must be able to work during school season
- Serving It Right certification
- Able to carry at least 30 pounds
- Able to work early mornings, days, weekends and holidays
- Positive personality, enjoys meeting people and helping team members
- Open minded with good communication skills
- Understands and provides excellent customer service
