The individual in this role will support the legal entity flows valuation team in maintaining and updating quarterly in force and new business legal entity projections and management reports. The Individual will also support the appointed actuary of the Bermuda and Barbados companies in completing regulatory requirements as well as preparing materials for solvency committee meetings.
Responsibilities Legal entity

Assist in maintaining and updating quarterly in force quarterly 5 year legal entity projections

Projected financials statements under US GAAP, Tax and local regulatory basis

Projected regulatory capital
-
Assist during capital planning efforts as valuation representative

Responsible for creating and circulating quarterly legal entity reporting pack
Offshore regulatory reporting

Support the appointed actuary (AA) of the Bermuda and Barbados companies in completing regulatory requirements as well as preparation for committee meetings

Assist in preparation of actuarial opinions and memorandums

Quarterly review of legal entity actuarial balances

Support the AA in the solvency committee planning and preparation of materials

Support the AA, as needed, completing actuarial analysis on potential regulatory changes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Math, Finance, Statistics, or a related field
- ASA and 1+ FSA exam
- 4+ years of actuarial experience in the life insurance industry
- Advanced PC and technical skills, including database applications (Access, Oracle, SQL or equivalent technology) and spreadsheets
- Advanced ability to compile, analyze, refine, and interpret large amounts of financial data and projection model results
- Advanced oral and written communication skills, demonstrating the ability to convey complex ideas in a way that is understandable by all stakeholders
- Advanced interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to work effectively with different disciplines, including valuation, investments, finance, accounting, and information technology
- Advanced investigative, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of life, health, and annuity products
- Knowledge of US Statutory and Tax valuation and financial reporting
- Knowledge of one or more actuarial modeling systems
- Ability to work well both independently and within a team environment
- Ability to simultaneously contribute to multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to balance detail with department goals and objectives
Preferred
- Reinsurance experience
- Ability to program in Prophet and/or Moddy’s AXIS
- Advanced project management skills, demonstrating an ability to leverage various resources and tools to reach a common goal
- Reinsurance industry and product knowledge
- Working knowledge of US Principle Based reserving
- Familiarity with life insurance company financial statements

Compensation Range $97,450.00 - $121,800.00 Annual
Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
