Duties
- Greet and assist patients as they arrive at the office, ensuring a welcoming experience.
- Conduct preliminary patient assessments, including taking medical histories and performing basic vision tests.
- Manage electronic medical records (EMR) using systems to maintain accurate patient information.
- Assist with the fitting and dispensing of optical products, ensuring proper selection based on patient needs.
- Support front desk operations by scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and handling patient inquiries.
- Collaborate with optometrists to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the examination rooms and optical displays.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a medical office or retail sales environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to optometry is beneficial.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on patient care and satisfaction.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn about optical products and services.
