About the role
We have an open position in our branch in Brantford, Ontario, and we are seeking a licensed paralegal to join our team to assist in the collection of outstanding accounts under the Collection and Debt Settlement Services Act, as well as representing clientele in small claims court actions and the enforcement of judgments. This role requires investigation, negotiation, organization, and diligence.
We are looking for someone to join our team who can represent themselves and our company professionally, maintain a calm demeanor, deal with delinquent consumers, either arrange payment or affect action on accounts, and liaise with our clientele. We would prefer someone with at least two years' experience in either third party collections or the paralegal field.
Our office is unlike a typical third party collection agency ... we are looking for intelligent, calm, and experienced people who are willing to interact with national clients directly, perform data analysis, understand and build work plans, work with credit bureau data, and prepare files for legal action if warranted. For a comprehensive view of our company's practices, please visit www.kingstondc.com, and view our social media links.
We would like to offer someone a flexible work schedule, a starting salary between $2800 and $3400 per month dependent on collection experience, as well as commissions on legal recoveries, and profit sharing bonuses. All employees also receive extended medical benefits and a pension after 6 months of employment. If you are interested, please forward your resume, salary expectations, and why you would be a great addition to our team in MS Word, RTF, HTML, or text format. We look forward to hearing from you!
