About The Role The Medical Workforce Manager is responsible for the operational management and delivery of medical workforce functions, including recruitment, onboarding, rostering, credentialing, and workforce delivery. Working in a regional training hospital, the role supports a diverse medical workforce made up of rotating junior doctors, senior clinicians, locums, and visiting specialists.

The Medical Workforce Manager must ensure that all junior doctor processes meet the standards of the PMCV, The Doctors in Training EBA, and relevant legislative frameworks.

The position plays a central role in ensuring safe and effective staffing across all services, while also supporting the unique needs of a teaching environment.

The Medical Workforce Manager reports to the Chief Medical Officer and works closely internal and external stakeholders, including Department Directors and the Postgraduate Medical Council of Victoria (PMCV), parent hospitals, training colleges, and regulatory bodies to ensure that all processes align with accreditation and industrial standards and to maintain a well-supported and high functioning workforce.
