THE ROLE The Royal Military College of Canada (RMC) is a unique national military university that provides the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) with exemplary officers to serve Canada.

The Supplementary Physical Training Coordinator establishes and maintains a standard of excellence in the contents and delivery of all supplementary physical training fitness programs. They prepare, manage and deliver supplementary physical training programs. They also make recommendations of improvements to be made to the program or problems arising from the existing activities and methods of training. The Supplementary Physical Training Coordinator works in partnership with medical staff, nutritionist and other health professionals involved in a member’s case, as required. They also prepare and teach classes in accordance with RMC physical education program curriculum.

Qualifications Needed Education, Certifications and Licenses Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Recreation, Exercise Physiology, Exercise Sciences, or in a related field AND some years of experience in a related field

Current Certified Exercise Physiologist (CEP) certification

Current CPR And Basic First Aid Qualifications Current National Lifeguard Service Certificate (NLS) qualifications

Experience Teaching physical education

Sports administration

Applying policies, procedures and regulations

Evaluating physical fitness

Fitness program counseling

Competencies Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.

Language Requirements English or French Essential, Bilingual an asset Reading: Advanced

Writing: Functional

Oral: Advanced
