Workday Application Developer
Location : Toronto ON
Mode of Job: Hybrid
Duration: 12 months
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Applications Developer with deep expertise in Workday tools and integrations. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting Workday HCM solutions that meet evolving business needs. This role involves hands-on integration development, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and continuous enhancement of HR technology platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Design, develop, test, and implement Workday applications and integrations.
- Act as a technical expert for Workday integration architecture, modeling, simulation, and analysis efforts.
- Develop integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, RaaS, BIRT, Web Services, Extend, and Payroll Interfaces (PECI, PICOF).
- Create and optimize Workday business processes, validation rules, and security configurations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Workday integrations.
- Ensure quality, security, and compliance standards are met in all technical solutions.
- Support ongoing Workday HCM maintenance and improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure seamless integration.
- Work in an Agile environment to deliver technical solutions iteratively and efficiently.
- Gather and clarify technical requirements from business stakeholders when needed.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Workday integration development including Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, RaaS Reports, BIRT, Web Services, Extend, PECI, and PICOF.
- Strong background with HRIS platforms, specifically Workday and/or ADP Global View.
- Proven ability to build integrations with internal systems and third-party vendors.
- Solid understanding of Workday business processes and configuration.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with requirements gathering and working with business users.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with additional payroll platforms beyond Workday Payroll and ADP.
- Familiarity with SaaS platforms like Salesforce or Compass.
- Exposure to Workday Extend applications and custom solutions.
