Job Title: Full Stack Developer (Remote - Canada)

Location: Remote (within Canada) | Occasional Travel to Edmonton, AB

Type: Contract (12 months, with possibility of extension)

About the Opportunity:

Join the Province’s Digital Design and Delivery Division (“3D”), the government’s centre for digital service innovation. We're hiring up to 27 Full Stack Developers to work on digital transformation projects aimed at simplifying public services for Albertans. Work in agile, cross-functional teams with designers, researchers, and product owners on high-impact government services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop full-stack solutions for modernized government services
• Contribute to user research, technical discovery, and design documentation
• Create scalable, maintainable, and user-centered digital services
• Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers and product teams
• Participate in code quality improvement and reusable component development
• Assist in deployment, support, and onboarding of new team members

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience working as a Full Stack Developer on agile teams
• Strong background in JavaScript, React, Node.js, .NET, or similar tech stacks
• Experience in solution design, defect resolution, and iterative delivery
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Experience working on public sector or user-focused services is a plus

Project Details:

• Remote work within Canada required
• Occasional in-person sessions in Edmonton (reasonable notice provided)
• Up to 1,960 hours/year (7.25 hours/day)
• Some travel within Alberta may be required for field research
