Redpath Canada Limited is currently seeking expressions of interest from candidates in the Red Lake and surrounding area who have extensive experience in the following mining occupations:
Rotation: 14 days on 14 days off
Shift Length: 12 hours workers 13 hours supervision
Allowance: Will be provided based on location
Travel: Will be provided based on location

Job Summary:
Miner – Service Miner
The primary role of Miner is to inspect existing underground headings, scale loose rocks and install ground support to stabilize rock mass and ensure safety. The tasks may involve the operation of scaling bars, pneumatic hand-held drills, use of rubber-tired underground mobile equipment such as LHD (Load-Haul-Dump) units, mechanized bolters, scissor trucks, shotcrete sprayers and other support vehicles in a confined environment. Load development rounds, install or fix existing mine services such as pipe, vent, cables and fans.
Scoop Operator
The primary role of the Scoop Operator is to operate mining equipment to load, haul and dump ore or waste from development and/or production area in a safe manner.
Offsider
Assist Jumbo Drill Operator with site prep and tool handling. Handle ore samples and drilling materials. Support installation of ground support and mine
Health and Safety:

Having the authority and responsibility to maintain a safe and efficient working environment
-
Following Redpath Canada Limited health and safety standards and systems, including the Five Point Safety System and the Cardinal Rules, and reporting any unsafe acts or conditions

Responsible to ensure proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment required in the performance of the work.

Must have knowledge of the WHMIS legislation and know how to effectively use an MSDS sheet.

Comply with the Act and Mining Regulations that apply to the work area.
Education and Work Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- 2 years or more experience as a miner
- 6 months in a mining environment or transferable skill preferred for the Offsider position
- Ontario Basic Underground Hard Rock Miner – Common Core (preffered)
- Ontario Basic Underground Hard Rock Mining Specialty Module U0084, U0066B, U0066C, U0066D Common Core (preferred)
Knowledge Required
- Demonstrated ability to read mine plans and specifications for underground mining.
- Ability to multi task and work effectively
- Ability to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently
- Respectful of cultural differences
