About this Opportunity
Giant Tiger Wholesale is looking to hire a permanent, full-time Warehouse CON Forklift Operator for our fully automated 660,000 square foot distribution centre in Johnstown, ON! GTW can offer paid material handling equipment training on brand-new Raymond equipment, full medical/dental benefits, a store discount and 24/7 onsite gym access.

Giant Tiger Wholesale - We can offer:
- Starting wage of $19.95/hour
- Additional $2/hour for hours worked 9:00pm - 6:00am
- Automatic milestone wage increases at 1040 hours, 2080 hours, 4160 hours and annually after that
- Giant Tiger Store Discount - 20% on clothing, 10% on grocery
- Full medical/dental benefits
- 24/7 access to onsite gym; games room and full Micromarket in lunchroom with subsidized snacks and meals

Warehouse Forklift Operator, Job Highlights
- Drive Narrow Aisle and High Bay Reach trucks through high trafficked areas to service Order Pickers and VNA Forklift Operators with a focus on safe and efficient operation
- Follow Warehouse Management System directions and supervisor directions to replenish and put away in both conventional and Symbotic racking areas
- Identify SKU number and quantity to accurately scan and put away items from one location to another
- Identify and account for damages by moving damaged cases to the designated area
- Maintain a daily productivity count
- Support other departments, when necessary, as directed by the supervisor
Warehouse Forklift Operator, Job Requirements
- Conduct operations in a manner which promotes safety and complies with Ontario Safety and Health Act (OSHA), and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) standards
- Capable of sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and lifting heavy objects throughout shift
- Comfortable in a noisy, fast-paced environment
- Punctual, self-motivated, attention to detail and spatially aware of surroundings
- Basic math and PC skills
Warehouse Forklift Operator, Candidate Assets
- Experience in a warehouse environment
- Experience with a Warehouse Management System
- Experience operating a forklift or similar machine
- Positive attitude
- Class G2 or higher driver’s license
Warehouse Forklift Operator, Job Schedule:
Saturday - Tuesday, 4:30pm-3:00am
