This role will add value to the Canadian organization through Sales Finance business support, supporting a strong accounting and internal control environment and acting as an “internal consultant” via special projects. We are looking for a student or recent graduate to join us for a 16-month internship in our Finance team. Job Purpose: This role will assist with ensuring revenues and expenses are properly recorded and liabilities adequately anticipated and perform a critical support role with ensuring trade agreements and promotions are accurately managed using the trade management system. You will help to improve Canada’s financial management reporting environment and will play a critical role in project work to deliver on Canada’s business strategy.

Key Responsibilities: This role will provide YOU with the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR Finance career. These responsibilities include some of the following… Business Support (30%)

• Ensure all financial processes for the Customer Account Teams are compliant with Haleon policies, International Financial Reporting Standards, and government regulations
• Provide financial support and business partnering to assigned customer team, which will include the opportunity identification process and enable decision making on Account Teams’ go-to-market approach.
• Review spend and analyze customer net sales performance, variance to budget. Proactively identify risk and opportunity and propose mitigation plan
• Decision support on Net Revenue Management initiatives assessment and complete Return on Investment analysis
• Support a consistent monthly Customer profitability model that links Customer P&L, Brand P&L and Company P&L views.
• Assist Sales Finance Manager in data gathering and analysis

Accounting and Controls (30%)

• Ensure that revenues and expenses are properly recorded, and liabilities properly anticipated
• Contribute to Trade Spend reporting and forecasting for sales teams
• Support Finance Manager, Sales Business Partnering with planning, processing, and audit of Trade Agreements
• Support internal and external audit preparation/process

Project Work (40%)

• Assist Sales Finance Manager on team initiatives
• Assess effectiveness of internal processes and propose improvement opportunities
• Report design and development within PowerBI to improve KPI visibility

Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

• Must be available for the total duration of the full-time, 16-month contract
• Enrolled (or graduated within last two years) in a Business program, with an Accounting/Finance focus
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel is preferred
• Solid understanding of finance fundamentals
• Financial acumen and understanding of CPG industry
• Ability to work with multiple levels within the organization effectively and across multiple functions (e.g. Finance, Sales, Supply Chain, Administration)
