Part-time Administrative Assistant - Inglewood Care Centre
Pro Vita is looking for Administrative Assistant with a passion for the elderly to join our team to support our residents in West Vancouver.
Position: Part-time Administrative Assistant
Address: 725 Inglewood Avenue, West Vancouver BC V7T 1X5
Hourly rate: $26.91
Shift(s): Saturday - Sunday, 7am - 3pm & Monday, 5pm - 11pm
Administrative Assistant Must Haves:
- Completion of a high school diploma.
- A minimum of 2 years recent administrative experience (ideally in a long term care environment).
- Excellent computer skills, proficient in the utilization of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Minimum 50 wpm keyboarding skills.
- Passes and complies with Ministry of Justice Criminal record Check upon hire and every 5 years thereafter.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbal and written.
- Satisfactory proof of COVID-19 vaccinations.
Administrative Assistant Responsibilities:
- Support scheduling of all care staff in full time and part time lines
- Handing sick calls, vacation requests and coverage
- Entry of payroll to ensure that all hours are allocated and coded appropriately (as regular, sick, vacation etc)
- Completion of HR related documents (HR, WorkSafe and OH&S) to send to head office.
- Participation in the Hiring Process by screening applicants and managing new hire paperwork.
- Acting as a receptionist whenever needed
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
