Job Description
Job Duties:
- Maintenance, trouble shooting, and repair of all truck systems.
- Completed the provincial apprenticeship program for the trade.
- Interpret work orders and technical manuals on paper and in PC based formats.
- Write and type repair details on service repair orders.
- Work scheduled shifts to provide repair service for trucks as required.
- Attend additional training as required.
- Maintain personal and company tooling that gets used to do the job.
Requirements:
- Be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend (ENGLISH) to ensure effective communication with employees and customers.
- Demonstrate or have some mechanical aptitude based on previous work experience, schooling, or hobbies.
- Read and use documents.
- Basic ability to troubleshoot and detect faults to determine the repair required, while being supervised by a journeyman mechanic.
- Adjust, repair, and test equipment for proper performance.
- Clean, lubricate, and perform maintenance work.
- Have some general computer skills and knowledge.
- Must be able to sit, kneel, lift, walk, lay, and carry for extended periods.
- Must be able to operate a motor vehicle.
- Continuous self-learning.
