Are you a student or graduate with a passion for digital design, user experience, and making the web more accessible? Do you love building websites that are both beautiful and easy to use? Are you excited by the opportunity to work on a meaningful project that connects people to their communities? If so, we’d love to hear from you!
We’re looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and motivated individual to join our team as a Web Designer this summer in the Guelph Wellington area.

At CLGW, we believe in community first. We support adults with developmental disabilities to connect with their communities through work, volunteering, housing, and recreation. Our team supports over 900 individuals across Guelph and Wellington County.
A Web Designer will play a key role in launching our new website. This site will meet AODA accessibility standards, reflect our brand identity, and improve how we connect with the public. If you’re excited about contributing fresh design ideas and user-friendly solutions, this role is for you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to our online strategy by designing a visually appealing and accessible website, taking into consideration compatibility across major browsers and mobile devices
- Ensure the website meets AODA (Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act) standards and is easy to use, with strong attention to overall usability.
- Develop and apply design guidelines, standards, and best practices.
- Use user data and website analytics to identify and solve usability issues and make informed design and user experience decisions
- Align all design work with the organization’s branding and visual identity
- Create wireframes and website mock-ups that reflect design goals.
Required Skills:

Flexible schedule from Monday to Friday for 8 weeks (June-August)

Proven experience in web design with a focus on responsive, user-friendly layouts

Solid understanding of SEO best practices and web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics)

Ability to quickly assess and work within existing website structures and CMS platforms

Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of improving website functionality and usability

Creative thinker who can contribute fresh, strategic ideas to support a website redesign
