Job Description
The Mental Health and Substance Use Nurse (RN/RPN) will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to clients in the Access and Assessment Center. This role involves:
- Conducting assessments and developing care plans for clients.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care.
- Providing education and support to clients and their families.
- Monitoring client progress and adjusting care plans as necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia (CRNBC) or the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of British Columbia (CRPNBC).
- Experience in mental health and substance use nursing.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in an assessment and treatment setting.
- Knowledge of community resources and support services.
Other Relevant Details
- This position may require evening and weekend shifts.
