Senior Manager, Finance Transformation (Full Time, Permanent Basis)

What you will do:
The Senior Manager, Finance Transformationis responsible for driving initiatives that optimize financial processes, enhance operational efficiency, and support organizational growth.
This role works closely with senior leadership, finance teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement, implement innovative solutions, and manage large-scale transformation projects.
The ideal candidate is a change leader with financial expertise and a proven track record of delivering impactful results.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Strategic Transformation Leadership:
- Collaborate with executive leadership to identify and prioritize transformation opportunities.
- Serve as a trusted advisor, to finance, IT, and other departments to achieve enterprise-wide objectives in collaboration with the Senior Director.
Process Improvement & Automation
- Lead efforts to streamline financial workflows, including budgeting, forecasting, month-end close, and reporting.
- Drive automation initiatives using tools such as RPA (e.g., UiPath), AI, or cloud-based platforms to reduce manual tasks and improve efficiency.
- Continuously addressing bottlenecks, redundancies, and inefficiencies in financial operations.
- Identify gaps in system functionality and lead initiatives to enhance reporting, automation, and analytics capabilities.
- Ensure seamless integration of financial systems with other enterprise platforms (Certify, Octacom, Workday, ADP & Blackline).
Technology Implementation
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to monitor and advise on the implementation, and optimization of financial systems (e.g., ERP, FP&A tools, Payroll). Blackline & Workday Implementations expected.
- Partner with IT and vendors to ensure smooth system integration and deployment and continued improvement.
Project Management
- Lead cross-functional project teams to deliver on transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and objectives.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor (both formally and informally) a team of finance systems analysts, project managers, and business analysts responsible for system implementation and process improvement.
What We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Preferred: Completion of a recognized professional designation: CPA, CA; CPA, CGA; or CPA, CMA; or a relevant postgraduate degree such as an MBA.
- 8+ years of experience in finance, business transformation, or consulting, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of leading finance transformation initiatives, including process improvement and technology implementation.
- Experience in project management and change management within a finance organization.
Required Skills & Abilities:
Technical Skills
- Deep understanding of financial processes & related technologies.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (Business Central, Certify, Octacom) and FP&A tools (e.g., Workday, Blackline).
- Knowledge of automation tools (e.g., Power Automate, UiPath) and data visualization platforms (Power BI).
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data to drive insights.
Soft Skills
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
