This position is focused on new business development. The ideal candidate has a successful track record of closing deals and fostering partnerships within the Personal Care, Cosmetics, Food, Nutraceutical , and related sectors. You are motivated by the challenge of turning prospects into clients and thrive on meeting people, building relationships, and making connections. You should be comfortable engaging with Procurement, R&D, and Technical Directors, and ideally bring a strong network from prior experience.
Responsibilities
- Prospecting: Actively build and manage a pipeline of target prospects throughout Canada and the US.
- Networking: Attend global conferences and industry events to build relationships, stay informed on market trends, and identify sales opportunities.
- Qualifying Leads: Understand market segments and decision-maker personas to assess potential opportunities.
- Value-Based & Consultative Selling: Cultivate trust and secure long-term partnerships, mainly with manufacturers.
- Sales Process Management: Navigate multiple complex opportunities through a defined sales process using a customer-first, value-added approach.
- Sales Tools: Use CRMs, Microsoft Office, LinkedIn, quoting tools, and industry databases (e.g., UL Prospector) to organise and optimise daily activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred; or equivalent education and/or relevant work experience.
- 3–5+ years of B2B sales experience, ideally within Personal Care, Cosmetics, Food, Nutraceutical, or related sectors.
- Ability to nurture provided leads while actively prospecting and building referral networks.
- Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills.
- Adaptable and organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
