Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. Unfortunately we are unable to sponsor a work visa at this time. Given the urgency in filling this position, we will prioritize candidates who are located in the Bow Valley area. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in preparing delicious meals that meet our restaurant's standards while ensuring a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and restaurant standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and seasoning.
- Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service.
- Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food handling procedures.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines in all aspects of food preparation.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or the food industry is required.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality meal preparation.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills in the kitchen.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
