What’s Involved In The Production Operator Role The Island Farms plant is looking for General Labor employees to support their manufacturing production department.
Working in a production environment, duties will include assisting machine operators in the day-to-day activities.
- This is a 24/7 operation - candidates must have flexibility in their availability and able to work days, afternoons, and night shifts.
- Food manufacturing environment will be loud and requires hearing protection, wearing a hard hat, and following all food and personal safety policies and Good Manufacturing practices.
- Using a forklift and pallet jack
- Operating big stand-still machines involved with dairy products processing, packaging, etc.
What You Need To Join Our Team
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Able to follow standard operational procedures and work in a safe manner.
- Physically fit with the ability to lift to 50 lbs and pull up to 250 lbs.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Experience in Food and Beverage industry, highly preferred
Where You'll Be Working Our Victoria, BC plant is home to about 180 employees in one of Canada’s most beautiful cities. This facility produces fluid and chocolate milk, cottage cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, ice cream and soft serve products in a unique facility with a storied history on Vancouver Island. Located minutes from downtown, we process Vancouver Island milk into world-class dairy products.
