About the role
We are House of XM - an experiential marketing agency creating impactful experiences for cool a** brands. We are women-owned, experience-obsessed, and all about delivering epic moments to our clients. We are a hands-on, bilingual agency that operates across North America and can get campaigns up and running in weeks, not months.
We’re currently looking for confident, organized, and people-first Team Leads to support an exciting boots-on-the-ground program in the smoke-free product industry. You’ll oversee a team of Sales Experts in the field, help maintain the energy and standards of our execution, and step in when needed to ensure no beat is missed. If you’re a natural leader who thrives on fast-paced, people-powered programs—let’s make some cool s**t happen.
Role Overview:
As a Team Lead, you’ll supervise a team of 6–10 Sales Experts, visiting multiple locations throughout the week to perform site checks, coach your team, and maintain top-notch execution. This part-time role (approximately 21 hours per week) requires someone who’s comfortable balancing leadership, reporting, and occasional hands-on field work.
You’ll be responsible for consolidating performance data, supporting recruitment and training, and jumping in to backfill when someone is out sick. You’ll also act as the go-to between your team and the HXM Account Management crew, keeping the energy high and the standards even higher.
You need to be just as comfortable getting hands-on in-store as you are tracking KPIs and sharing insights. This role is ideal for someone with a background in field team management, retail or sales — someone who loves helping others succeed and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and support a team of 6–10 Sales Experts across assigned retail locations
- Conduct regular site visits to coach, motivate, and monitor team performance
- Backfill shifts when needed to ensure consistent coverage and brand presence
- Gather and consolidate daily sales reports and team feedback into weekly summaries
- Maintain communication with Account Managers to flag issues, wins, and opportunities
- Ensure execution aligns with brand guidelines and program objectives
- Track team KPIs and provide high-level insights and recommendations
- Coordinate weekly expense submissions from your team
- Support onboarding and training of new Sales Experts when needed
- Manage product kits, ensuring materials are clean, complete, and properly distributed
- Be a culture builder — lead with positivity, accountability, and people-first energy
- Uphold all compliance standards related to the handling and promotion of tobacco-related products
Experience & Skills:
- 2+ years of experience in sales, retail, or experiential marketing
- Previous experience leading or managing in-field teams is a strong asset
- Confident, clear communicator and strong motivator
- Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented
- Able to manage schedules, performance metrics, and logistical needs with ease
- Comfortable stepping into client-facing or sales roles when needed
- Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle
- Tech-savvy and confident using basic reporting tools (Google Sheets, etc.)
Requirements:
Even if your experience doesn’t check every single box in the Skills section above, we still encourage you to apply. We know resumes don’t tell the whole story. That said, there are a few non-negotiables for this role:
- You’re based in Montreal
- You're bilingual, both English and French speaking
- You have previous experience in sales or field team management
- You have a valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle
- You’re available to work in-field 2 days a week (flexible schedule based on team needs)
- You’re available for the full contract, from As soon as possible to September 5
Perks & Culture:
- We’re a passionate team of creatives and marketers driven by a shared commitment to excellence.
- We work with brands we truly love, you’d definitely want on your resume.
- You’ll have an opportunity for professional growth and development in a collaborative environment that values new ideas and ways of thinking.
- We have small agency vibes, but. BIG results.
