JOB OVERVIEW
As a Junior Instrumentation & Controls Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the engineering team by interpreting and revising technical documentation. Your primary responsibilities will include reading and understanding loop drawings, updating legacy documents, and converting outdated formats into modern CAD standards.
The ideal candidate is expected to work with a high level of autonomy and take initiative in their tasks. Additionally, the manager offers the opportunity for mentorship to support your professional development, including guidance on the process of joining l’Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
Responsibilities:
- Review and update all instrumentation electrical & mechanical drawings of the FTAI facilities, in particular the test area
- Transfer old drawings into a Cad format. (SolidWorks)
- Prepare instructions for updating obsolete wiring & hardware.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or 3rd year in electrical or mechanical engineering with instrumentation background.
- Ability to read and understand loop drawings
Preferred Skills:
- Cad drafting, reading electrical drawing
- Instrumentation & controls, High & low electrical power
- Experience with SolidWorks
