Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Swim Instructor to join our team. We have two locations - one in Stoney Creek, ON and one in Ancaster, ON. Looking for someone who can start right away. Hoping for a candidate who can also continue throughout September onwards (not just summer).
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in swimming and a commitment to educating individuals of all ages in water safety and swimming techniques. As a Swim Instructor, you will play a vital role in fostering a positive learning environment, ensuring that each student develops confidence and proficiency in the water.
Responsibilities
- Conduct swim lessons for individuals and groups of varying skill levels, from beginners to advanced swimmers. 1:1, 2:1 or 3:1
- Educate students on water safety practices and the importance of swimming skills.
- Develop personalized lesson plans tailored to meet the needs of each student.
- Monitor students' progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills.
- Maintain a safe and clean swimming environment by adhering to all safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with students and their families regarding progress and any concerns.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in swim instruction.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a swim instructor or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of swimming techniques and water safety practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate effectively.
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude towards teaching others.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Certification in CPR, First Aid, or Lifeguarding is a plus but not required upon hiring; training may be provided.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
