We are looking for a Trailer Mechanic to join our growing team in Edmonton on the afternoon shift, working Sunday to Thursday from 3:00PM to 11:30PM.

The Trailer Mechanic reports directly to the Shop Supervisor and/or Terminal Manager. They are responsible for ensuring trailers are maintained in accordance with the Caron Transportation Maintenance Manual by inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and servicing all systems and components of transport trucks and trailers to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Repair, maintain, install and troubleshoot trailer tank systems and components
  • Read and understand work orders, task procedures, and interpret technical manuals
  • Write work orders, diagnose the cause of failures, and carry out repairs according to manufacturer’s specifications
  • Mentor and assist apprentices, if applicable
  • Perform inspections as per the Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program as required, only if licensed to do so
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Management

Qualifications

  • Journeyman Trailer Mechanic with 2+ years of directly related experience
  • CVIP License will be considered an asset
