Job Summary
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of financial statements, maintaining financial records, and performing various accounting tasks to support the finance department.
Duties
- Conduct account reconciliations and maintain general ledger accounts
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and budgets
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Utilize accounting software to manage financial information
- Support payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Proven experience working in accounting or finance roles
- Proficiency in using accounting software such as QuickBooks, PeopleSoft, etc.
- Strong knowledge of corporate finance principles
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively
