About the role
Hibou Café is looking for a full-time Barista to join our team. Our beautiful café is located on the corner of Chabanel & St-Laurent. Our hours of operation are from Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm and Saturday from 10:00am to 4:00pm. We offer a flexible schedule depending on your availability.
Tasks include;
- Support all aspects of food preparation, quality control, and food display.
- Manage inventory levels and re-orders.
- Take orders, and operate the cash register and POS.
- Perform opening shift duties, ensuring the front counters are fully stocked and well-presented
- Perform closing shift duties, cleaning, restocking, and general prep for the following morning.
- Understand and learn the various menu items, including specials in order to provide recommendations.
The ideal candidate is:
- Perfectly bilingual
- Friendly & approachable
- Comfortable working independently
- Able to multi-task and manage own time appropriately
- Comfortable upselling, developing relationships, and holding conversations with customers
- Extremely tidy and quick to clean up after themselves and maintain the overall cleanliness of the café

Pay: $15.50-$17.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 20 per week
