About the role

We are looking for a strategic and solution-oriented Business Systems Analyst to support our growing automation services division. In this role, you will work with internal teams and external clients to identify business opportunities, optimize workflows, and implement smart technology solutions that drive efficiency and reduce manual effort. You’ll serve as the key link between our customers, business users, and technical developers in designing solutions that align with operational goals.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Collaborate with stakeholders: to understand current processes and identify areas suitable for automation.
  • Analyze business requirements: and translate them into technical specifications for Information Technology teams, workflow systems, or other stakeholders.
  • Evaluate and recommend automation tools, platforms, or integrations based on project requirements.
  • Develop documents: process maps, workflow diagrams
  • Convert: Service Process maps into Aggregate Use cases, User Stories and Customer Journey.
  • Work closely with service teams: and engineers to design, test, and roll out solutions.
  • Monitor the performance: of automated processes and assist with continuous improvement efforts.
  • Development of data structures: ISA 95 Asset Hierarchy for the organization.
  • Provide support: post-implementation and training to users.
  • Develop and maintain: a 3-year, 5-year, and long-term roadmap that evaluates technology and reviews business processes.
  • Ensure compliance: with data integrity, security policies, and industry standards.
  • Stay current: with automation trends and technologies to support innovation within the organization.

You’ll Be Great At:

  • Understanding automation platforms (e.g., Dynamics, PowerBI, Power Automate).
  • Analyzing workflows and designing system integrations or process automations.
  • Familiar with scripting or basic programming (e.g., Python, VBScript, or JavaScript)
  • Communicating and the ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language.
  • Managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience working in manufacturing and automation.
  • Knowledge of ERP, MES, or SCADA systems is a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with Agile development practices and tools like Jira or Trello.
  • Post secondary diploma in Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst, preferably in an automation or systems integration environment.
