Are you a hands-on problem solver with a passion for keeping things running smoothly? We’re looking for a reliable, experienced Maintenance / Handyman to join our team and help maintain a safe, welcoming, and well-kept environment for our residents and staff.

Location: Ottawa, Ontario

What You'll Do:

You’ll be the go-to person for a wide range of tasks that keep our building and grounds in top condition, including:

• Handling general repairs to the building, furnishings, and equipment

• Completing suite refurbishments when residents move out

• Performing preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, and fire systems

• Managing grounds upkeep and snow removal

• Keeping an eye on safety and complying with OHSA standards

• Supporting the community with a can-do attitude and helpful spirit

What You Bring:

• 3+ years of maintenance experience in a retirement or hospitality setting

• Strong skills in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, drywall, and painting

• High school diploma (trades certificates a plus)

• Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and building codes

• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)

• Good communication and problem-solving skills

• Ability to lift, move, stand, and bend as needed for the job

• A valid background check
