About the Opportunity

Spectra Research Corporation is looking for a full-time Technical Sales Account Manager based within Southern Ontario. This role requires regular travel, with the flexibility to work from home when not on the road.

This is a high-impact sales role focused on growing revenue and market share across Western Canada, from Ontario to British Columbia. Reporting to the Sales Director, you will be responsible for driving business development and managing customer relationships within the scientific instrumentation market, including industry, government, and academia.

More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Building and executing a territory business plan to drive revenue growth
  • Managing the full sales cycle with a focus on capital scientific equipment
  • Engaging with stakeholders across all levels to identify needs and deliver tailored solutions
  • Developing and maintaining strong client relationships in industry, government, and academia
  • Promoting SRC’s portfolio of solutions in materials characterization, surface science, spectroscopy, nanotechnology, and advanced manufacturing
  • Collaborating with internal teams to align technical capabilities with client requirements
  • Meeting or exceeding sales targets and performance goals
  • Managing multiple complex sales and support situations independently
  • Communicating technical value propositions in a competitive solution-selling environment
  • Maintaining a working knowledge of SRC’s product lines and technologies
  • Representing the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings

About You

To qualify, you will need a bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering. A minimum of 3 years of experience in selling capital scientific instrumentation will also be essential.

Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:

  • Proven success in technical solution sales environments
  • Strong understanding of materials characterization, surface science, spectroscopy, nanotechnology, or advanced manufacturing
  • Ability to manage complex sales and support scenarios independently
  • Familiarity with SRC’s technology portfolio and related scientific applications
  • Experience working with academic, government, and industrial clients and stakeholders across varied organizational levels
