VIDA is seeking a full time Multimedia Content Producer to join our Halifax team.
In this role, you’ll bring VIDA’s impact to life through compelling visual content that captures the spirit of our communities. From filming on-site at properties and community events to editing videos that speak to the communities, you’ll help shape how the world sees VIDA. This is a creative, hands-on role with room to grow and the chance to tell stories that truly make a difference.
To capture the real moments that matter, this role includes regular travel throughout Atlantic Canada and may involve working outside of typical Monday to Friday hours, depending on when stories unfold.

The Role
As VIDA’s Multimedia Content Creator, you’ll:
- Travel to VIDA properties and community events across Atlantic Canada to capture what makes our communities special
- Talk with customers, Building Ambassadors (our frontliners that work and live in our buildings!), and team members to uncover stories worth sharing
- Film and photograph real people in real moments—celebrating progress, pride, and possibility
- Build trust with residents and teams to ensure people feel comfortable and seen on camera
- Turn raw footage into clear, engaging stories that connect with our audiences
- Partner with marketing and other teams to identify opportunities to showcase VIDA’s impact
- Create promotional and informational content for internal initiatives and Support Centre teams
Technical Skills
- Confident capturing both video and photos using DSLR or mirrorless cameras (e.g., Sony, Canon) at properties, events, and in-the-moment settings
- Strong understanding of composition, framing, and lighting (natural and basic artificial)
- Skilled in editing short- and long-form video content using tools like Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro
- Experienced in photo editing and retouching using Lightroom or Photoshop
- Able to format and optimize content for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn
- Experienced in creating simple storyboards to align on vision before filming
- Organized with file naming, archiving, and optimizing content for web and mobile
- Bonus: experience with motion graphics (e.g., After Effects), drone videography, interior or real estate photography, SEO for video/web, or social media scheduling and analytics tools
