Pay Range: $21.22 - $24.41 per hour. Your hourly rate will be based on the year of study at school.
Work Location: Hybrid/Onsite 3 days /week at 130 Adelaide St. W., Toronto
Contract up to 4 months starting September 2025 Metrolinx is connecting communities across the Greater Golden Horseshoe. Metrolinx operates GO Transit and UP Express, as well as the PRESTO fare payment system. We are also building new and improved rapid transit, including GO Expansion, Light Rail Transit routes, and major expansions to Toronto’s subway system, to get people where they need to go, better, faster and easier. Metrolinx is an agency of the Government of Ontario.

Our Bus Service Design Team is looking for a CO-OP Student to assist with the planning, implementation, and monitoring of GO Transit bus services. You will work with internal partners to provide analytical support in the completion of required tasks and deliverables. You will report to the Senior Planning Officer, Bus Operations Planning.
What will I be doing?
- Provide a variety of administrative and technical services to support the business which may include preparing reports, memos, documents; sorting/collating/filing documents
- Develop spreadsheets, forms, and databases to input, track, store and retrieve data
- Maintain and update electronic filing systems and provide record management services
- Work with internal and external partners to collect data, respond to queries and exchange information
- Help produce daily/weekly/monthly operational documentation and reports
- Provide support to staff in a variety of areas, including gathering, inputting, organizing, and interpreting data for reports/presentations/meetings/projects
- Support in the production and formatting of operational documentation (e.g. public-facing and internal timetables)
- Travel and field work will be required as a part of this position
What skills & qualifications do I need?
- Must be attending school full-time and returning to an academic institution
- Must be at least 15 years of age before starting employment
- Enrolled in a Urban Planning, Geography, Engineering or Computer Science program at a post secondary institution
- Must be able to drive for long periods of time within our service territory
- Class G Ontario Driver’s License in good standing
- Strong written, oral communication and interpersonal skills are required
- Competence in software such as Microsoft Excel/Office (experience in ArcGIS and R Studio would be an asset)
- Ability to co-operate and assist other co-workers with various projects
