Status: Temporary Full-time (1-year contract)
Salary: $31.825/hr - $37.44/hr

Job Summary:
Working closely with members of the Pinecrest-Queensway CHC Youth Programs team and responsible to the Manager, Integrated Youth Services. The Supervisor, Youth Programs is responsible for ensuring the successful planning, implementation, evaluation and ongoing development of the current community youth programs. The Supervisor plays a leadership role in supporting and leading team members, volunteers and program participants to ensure programs are responsive and reflective of the community needs and demographics.
Job Specific Responsibilities:
Partnerships and Program Delivery
- Develop and maintain program partnerships relevant to the various components of each of the respective program areas
- Ensure that programming is delivered effectively and that the activities and relationships developed are appropriate to the goals of youth programs within PQCHC
- Provide leadership in the planning, implementation and evaluation of programming
- Working in collaboration with the Program Manager, and across all youth programs to monitor internal and external trends that impact the youth program portfolio
- In collaboration with the Program Manager and other team members, provide leadership in developing effective communication among program staff, participants and volunteers.
- Identify gaps in service delivery and develop strategies to address these gaps through program development, partnerships, advocacy or external resources.
Administration
- Develop and maintain systems and regular reporting for funding and programming requirements.
- Provide regular reports to the Program Manager on programming issues and communications systems.
- Ensure that appropriate record-keeping practices are established and maintained, in keeping with Centre policies on Privacy and Confidentiality and Record Keeping.
- Work with the Program Manager, other Team members and administrative staff to ensure appropriate procedures are in place to manage the program deliverables.
- Lead and manage on-going program registration processes.
- Lead and manage the planning and implementation of various special events for program participants and community partners.
- Work with the Program Manager and administrative staff to ensure that the information needed for program monitoring, evaluation and improvement is available and current, including collection of accurate and timely data on school attendance, grades and program participation.
Teamwork and Collaboration
- Provide resources and support to program staff pertaining to specific program issues.
- Assist in the development of program specific policies and procedures/guidelines and in the overall planning and development of the program.
- Attend and participate in Supervisors, Team and Centre staff meetings as scheduled
- Maintain effective communication of information among internal and external stakeholders including youth and community serving organizations.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education
- Three to five years’ relevant experience preferably working with youth
- A minimum of three years management/supervisory experience
- Experience with program development and program management
- Knowledge of diverse populations
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment
- Extensive knowledge of community resources
- Experience in liaising with funders, partners and leaders of the community
- Computer skills essential
- Fluency in English; French is preferred, other languages are an asset

Founded by community members in 1979, we are one of about 60 non-profit community health centers across Ontario. We are run by a volunteer Board of Directors comprised of 12 community members elected at our annual meeting.
Growing With Our Community:
In 1979 we opened our doors with 4 staff. Today, we have over 347 full and part time employees serving our local community and over 400 volunteers.

Pinecrest-Queensway Community Health Centre is an innovative community based, multi-service center. We strive to meet the needs of the diverse communities we serve. We work in partnership with individuals, families and communities to achieve their full potential, paying particular attention to those who are most vulnerable and at risk. We offer services in both official languages in designated programs.
