All About The Role As the Courier Pay Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting data review of strategic initiatives aimed at optimising courier incentives and delivery pay for our contractor delivery model. Your workweek will have you keep a close eye on network metrics and budget constraints to activate incentives in areas where performance is lagging or has declined due to an unforeseen event. You will serve as a key point of contact for both short and long-term tactical and strategic changes to the incentive and pay strategy, working closely with various global functions and market teams. You'll collaborate with analytics, scheduling and operations teams to develop an effective toolset for deploying and advancing courier pay to drive strong network performance, customer and restaurant experience.
*Location: Hybrid- 3 days a week from our Toronto or Winnipeg office & 2 days working from home
Reporting to: Delivery Operations Manager* These are some of the key ingredients to the role: Strategic
- Analyze effectiveness of courier pay & incentives and test out incentivization models to get the best performance outcomes from the courier network
- Work closely with the global courier pay and delivery planning teams to keep abreast of how other markets are tackling similar problems and implement best practices in CA
- Propose, design, implement, and own A/B tests to evaluate and optimize network performance, user experience, and system efficiency, leveraging data-driven insights to inform product and infrastructure decisions.
Operational
- Monitor daily weather conditions and take the required actions to ensure optimal network performance and service reliability.
- Support in deployment of incentive packages to the courier pool.
- Support the market team by providing data, insights and recommendations on incentives.
- Work closely with the scheduling and insights teams to predict network strain and performance gaps and use incentive toolkits to maintain network performance.
What will you bring to the table?
- 1-3 years of relevant experience is required, with a strong emphasis on data manipulation using SQL and Excel.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel/Google Sheets are essential.
- A good understanding of statistics and analytical methodologies is a must.
- The ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information with strong reporting skills and attention to detail is crucial.
- Familiarity with data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Looker) and experience with Python or R are considered assets.
- The role demands someone who can work well under pressure, balance multiple priorities, and connect data to real-world operations.
- Candidates should possess strong logical and solution-finding abilities to identify optimization opportunities and develop actionable insights, while also being able to build rapport and gain stakeholder buy-in.
