**Position Title:**Team Leader, YMCA Sports Leagues
Location: Tong Louie Family YMCA
Term: Permanent, Part-Time
Hours: 25 hours per week
Shift: Monday - Friday
Start Date: As soon as possible
Salary: $21.88/hour
Reports To: Supervisor

Nature & Scope
Our YMCA Youth Basketball Leagues programs offer children and youth a skill based, recreational experience. Our Jr YMCA Basketball program is an entry-level program that introduces children in kindergarten to Grade 1 to the sport of basketball in a fun, active and healthy learning environment. Our YMCA Youth Basketball League is volunteer-driven and teaches kids in grades 2 – 9, the game of basketball with an emphasis on fun and teamwork.
Major Responsibilities**-** in this position, you will**:**
- Ensure the quality of program delivery which will include attending practices and games
- Provide administrative support for all function of YMCA Sports Leagues including payroll, scheduling and volunteer compliance
- Build positive relationships with key stakeholders, families, participants and volunteers
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment at all times
Qualification**-you bring:**
- Experience coaching children and youth in sports
- Minimum 1 year experience leading a team
- Emergency First Aid & CPR (can be taken within 90 days of start date)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Database management an asset
- Successful candidate will be required to provide 3 satisfactory references
- Successful candidates will be required to provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Record check with a Vulnerable sector search issued no later than six (6) months preceding the start date.
