About the Job

As a part-time Scalehouse clerk you will be working in a customer-facing role. Weighing and documenting each truck leaving the quarry to ensure that loads are correct and do not violate safety transportation regulations.

Based out of our Simcoe location.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Responds to customer inquiries and to provide information on products and materials. Refers customers to sales representatives as necessary.
  • Receives payments in cash, cheque and credit cards and completes appropriate documentation to ensure records, orders and cash receipts balance.
  • Produces a variety of reports such as Transaction Reports, Sales Data Reports and Cash Sales Reports, to provide current information to various departments.
  • Operate a three-way radio system to communicate with various colleagues at the quarry and assist in the smooth running of quarry operations.
  • Opens and closes the scale house to ensure systems such as computers, security etc, are operating correctly.
  • Excellent work ethic, punctual and flexibility are required.
  • Works well alone and as part of a team.

Here’s What You Need

  • At least a year’s experience in a customer service role
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a variety of different settings indoor and outdoor
