About the role
Pickering Casino Resort/Casino Ajax are seeking a Part-time Count Team Attendant!
Under the general direction of the Cage Manager, this position is responsible for providing exceptional guest service while collecting Cash Boxes from Slot Machines and Table Games off the gaming floor. Process the funds and vouchers collected in the count room in accordance GCGC Standard Operating Procedure. This role ensures adherence to all policies and procedures and implements all new gaming operations initiatives as directed. Above all else, leading by example to create Great Experiences and Memories for all Guests and colleagues.
The ideal candidate is an energetic professional with proven knowledge, skills and abilities, executing the following in support of the company’s vision, mission and values:
- Interacts courteously with Guests and Team Members during the Count Drop while collecting Cash Boxes from Slot Machines and Table Games
- Process funds and vouchers collected during drop in the Count Room
- Process, rack, count chips and deliver to vault
- Transfer funds from Count to Main Bank once balanced
- Perform duties in a safe manner; report any potential safety hazards to management staff Complies with GCGC Service Operating Procedures to ensure the security and integrity of the count room operation
Successful applicants will demonstrate the following qualifications:
- Secondary school diploma
- One or more years of experience in customer service and handling cash (preferably large volumes)
- Strong mathematical aptitude, ability to work in a physically demanding area, ability to work within a confined space, have good hand-eye coordination, and be familiar with a high-volume, fast paced, multi-tasking environment.
- Excellent communication, organizational, teamwork and analytical skills. The ability to obtain registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario
Candidates must be ready and willing to work at both locations, a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays and overnights. The hours of work and location will be based on operational needs. Ready to embark on your next adventure?
