This is an evolving role, that will report directly to the VP, Controller, with ample opportunity for growth if you play to your strengths. Summary Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the month-end financial close process for the Canadian entity, including preparation of supporting workbooks and schedules
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and analyze financial performance in accordance with IFRS
  • Prepare, review, and post journal entries into the general ledger
  • Maintain all Balance Sheet reconciliations in FloQast
  • Support AR/AP functions, including customer invoicing, vendor payments, and intercompany transactions
  • Collaborate with the U.S. finance team to prepare consolidated reporting packages
  • Assist with Canadian GST/HST, PST, and QST filings , and ensure compliance with all federal and provincial tax requirements
  • Liaise with external accountants and auditors for year-end financial statement preparation and tax filings
  • Support treasury and cash management, including local banking and FX exposure monitoring
  • Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes, and prepare variance analysis against actual results
  • Work with global Finance leadership on ad hoc projects and initiatives to support business growth in Canada

Qualifications Required:

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in Accounting or Finance
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Strong working knowledge of Canadian accounting standards (ASPE or IFRS, depending on entity type)
  • Familiarity with Canadian tax regulations, including GST/HST, PST, QST , and corporate income tax
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace
  • Experience with NetSuite or other ERP/accounting systems (strongly preferred)
  • CPA Canada designation (or working toward designation) strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to work independently and cross-functionally
