Long Term Care:
Royal Ottawa Place is a 64-bed long-term care facility located at The Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre. It provides a home-like environment for adults with stable mental illness and/or physical limitations. The facility is divided into four home areas, each supporting 16 residents, with an average age of 65 years.
Qualifications:
- Personal Support Worker certification with 1 year documented experience in long-term care including psychiatric and mental health care, or RPN student with a minimum successful completion of year one, or RN student with a minimum successful completion of year two.
- CPR certification or re-certification within the last 12 months.
- Current knowledge of and training in mechanical lifts, transferring and positioning techniques for residents.
- English level A- is mandatory in oral expression, oral comprehension, reading and writing. Bilingual (French/English) is considered an asset.
Salary Range:
31.98 to 33.80 per hour
