We are currently seeking a Director, Human Resources, to join our team based in our Halifax, NS office .
Type of Position: Full-Time, Permanent
The Opportunity:
An integral member of the firm’s management team, the Director, Human Resources is responsible for the development and execution of the firm’s staff talent strategy across all areas of business. The Director’s portfolio includes recruitment, compensation, benefits, employee relations, performance management, policy development and implementation, and various other people-focused projects.
Together with a team of dedicated human resources professionals, the Director, Human Resources will continue to position Stewart McKelvey as an employer of choice by identifying and implementing best practices for attracting, developing, and retaining a diverse, productive, and engaged workforce that adapts with evolving business needs and a changing labour market.
To be the successful applicant, you will have several years of progressive human resources experience, with a demonstrated ability to lead an HR team and related processes, ideally in a professional services environment. You will be well versed in all core HR functions, with a strong understanding of diversity, equity and inclusion best practices, as well as have a track record of being an effective innovator, people manager and team leader. Although not a requirement, holding a CPHR designation would be considered a definite asset.
