About the role

Your Opportunity:

A unique opportunity to support the staff and patients of a dynamic Diagnostic Imaging Department. You will be given the tools to assist technologists and other DI staff during the delivery of care including patient preparation, patient transfers, room turnover and interdepartmental communication.

Description:

As a Service Worker I, you will be responsible for transporting patients (clients/residents) and equipment to and from different patient care areas within a hospital site. You will distribute and replenish hospital supplies throughout the units and clean equipment and patient care areas as directed. You may also transport lab specimens, blood and blood products, and patient charts. You will report any concerns regarding supplies and safety issues to Unit Managers and perform other duties as required.

Required Qualifications:

Grade 12 or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Experience working in a Diagnostic Imaging Department is essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

It's Your Move or other patient transfer training equivalent. Oxygen Transfer training or equivalent. IV Certification.
