SALARY RANGE: Starting at $78,030.00 Per Annum
POSITION TYPE: Full-Time, Temporary (Until March 31, 2026. Possibility of Extension) LOCATION: Saskatoon
ACCOUNTABLE TO: Homelessness Manager
Brief Overview Under the direction of the Homelessness Manager, the Coordinated Access Supervisor plays a critical leadership role in implementing and maintaining an effective Coordinated Access system within the community. This position oversees daily operations related to intake, assessment, and prioritization of individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness, ensuring alignment with federal and local housing and homelessness strategies (e.g., Reaching Home, HIFIS, By-Name List). The Coordinated Access Supervisor provides guidance to frontline staff and community partners, fosters cross-sector collaboration, and uses data-driven strategies to ensure people are matched to the most appropriate housing resources in a timely, equitable, and person-centered manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the implementation and operation of Coordinated Access, including HIFIS use, assessment completion, and referral processes.
- Supervise and support a team of Coordinated Access workers and assessors.
- Ensure timely and accurate data entry into HIFIS and monitor fidelity to assessment protocols and prioritization policies.
- Coordinate the maintenance and regular review of the By-Name List (BNL), ensuring it is current, complete, and used for real-time housing prioritization.
- Monitor workflow and service coordination to ensure low-barrier, trauma-informed, and culturally safe practices.
- Identify and address gaps in service access, referral efficiency, and housing placement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with housing providers, support services, Indigenous partners, and other community agencies.
- Support the engagement of people with lived/living experience in system planning and evaluation.
- Facilitate weekly Front-Line Meetings, monthly Team Leader Meetings, and Planning and Governance Meetings.
- Deliver and coordinate training for internal staff and external stakeholders on Coordinated Access tools and processes.
- Monitor performance metrics and compliance with community standards and funding agreements.
- Conduct regular audits and support continuous improvement through feedback, coaching, and capacity-building.
- Prepare reports for funders, senior leadership, and community partners on Coordinated Access performance and outcomes.
- Contributes to the development of policies, procedures, and community standards that govern Coordinated Access.
- Support the strategic planning and evaluation of homelessness response systems.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge And Skills
- The ability to communicate in Indigenous languages is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care and harm reduction approaches.
- Skilled at building relationships with clients and community organizations.
- Extensive knowledge of available community resources.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of the unique challenges and needs of vulnerable citizens.
- Understanding of the factors that contribute to homelessness or the risk of homelessness.
- The ability to demonstrate a compassionate, solution-focused, and client-centered approach.
- Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint).
- Experience in data management.
- Ability to remain calm and address clients with patience and understanding.
- Creative problem-solving, good organizational, administrative, and multi-tasking abilities.
- Understanding of legislation, regulations, standards, and policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Community Development, or other relevant fields of study. An equivalent level of education and professional experience will be considered.
- 1+ Years experience working in a supervisory or management role.
- At least 2 years of experience working in Human Services, supporting vulnerable populations.
- Experience in mental health or addiction services is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with Coordinated Access, By-Name Lists, HIFIS, and Housing First is an asset.
Additional Requirements
- Must undergo a Criminal Record Check with the vulnerable sector.
- Ability to work from home, with a confidential workspace.
- Valid Saskatchewan driver’s license and access reliable transportation
- Ability to travel.
