Title: Fund Finance Analyst, Secondaries & Primaries
Our client: is a world-leading private investment house
The Fund Finance role will oversee and manage all the analytical, financial, and accounting aspects of a (secondaries and primaries) private equity investment fund. The role involves supporting investment teams during closings, reporting preparation and review, regulated and investor-specific reporting, and cash management.
*Please note, this is an in-office role, downtown Montreal, QC.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and report on portfolio and investor performance.
- Prepare quarterly fund valuations and calculate performance metrics (IRR, DPI, TVPI).
- Prepare and deliver regular and ad-hoc investor reports (e.g., valuation meetings, advisory boards).
- Collaborate with the global Fund Finance team, particularly in London.
- Coordinate with internal teams (Front Office) and external stakeholders (administrators, banks, legal counsel).
- Monitor and manage fund-level and investor-level cash flows, including FX and hedging.
- Review and control fund accounting and quarterly financial statements with administrators.
- Manage debt and interest payments; report to debt providers and assess leverage impacts.
- Contribute to internal projects and process improvements.
- Track relevant legal and regulatory updates (AIFMD, FCA, CSSF, SEC).
- Use IT tools (eFront, Business Objects) to support fund operations and reporting.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years relevant experience
- Candidates must be comfortable working with accounting, cash management, software systems, and reporting
- A CPA or CFA certification (or pursuing) is preferred
