About the role
As a Business Developer at Wagonmaster Group, you will play a pivotal role in spearheading the successful launch of new programs across multiple territories. Leveraging your strategic business mindset, sales expertise, and ability to develop and nurture key accounts, you will drive the program's adoption and success. In this dynamic position, you will collaborate with multiple Business Developers, diverse business partners, contribute to team objectives, and ensure the achievement of sales goals and company KPIs.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee the implementation of the OEM program within assigned territories.
- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with business partners to drive mutual growth and success.
- Provide regular updates to the Director of Business and Sales, contributing insights during team
- Conduct training sessions for customers, focusing on product features, sales processes, and
retention strategies.
- Design and execute sales plans to ensure the success, growth, and development of territories.
- Formulate and implement goals and strategies for sustained growth while delivering exceptional
customer service.
- Assess and qualify customer priority for program installations and system integrations.
- Identify and address potential threats to territory success, such as sales decline, customer conflicts,
or competitive challenges.
- Utilize Wagonmaster's CRM and sales education tools for personal and professional development.
- Stay updated on individual customer reports, company mileage reports, and personal expense
reports.
- Maintain regular communication with management, warehouse, delivery teams, and customers to
ensure optimal product levels.
Qualifications

2+ years’ proven experience in business development or a similar B2B sales role.

Automotive industry knowledge an asset.

General Motors Fixed Operations experience an asset.

Motor vehicle license in good standing.

Knowledge of general business software and aptitude to learn new applications; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Strong English fluency, both written and verbal.

Working Conditions
Occasional travel both domestically and International is required. Duties performed in a variety of locations including provided office space, customer locations and on the road.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time with adequate manual dexterity to write legibly and perform computer duties. Some duties may require bending, twisting, and lifting. Occasional need to lift, transport, and deliver product averaging 20-30lbs.
