Job Summary:

Join the Summer Trail Crew to support two key areas of mountain maintenance: improving and maintaining gladded ski trails, and completing vegetation management in alignment with Fire Smart practices. This is a field-based, physically demanding role requiring comfort with chainsaw operation, hiking in steep and challenging terrain, and working safely as part of a small team.

Job Specifications:

  • Expected Pay Range: $22.00/hr - $28.43/hr
  • Shift & Schedule Availability: Full Time
  • Skill Level: Advanced

Job Responsibilities:

  • Gladded Ski Trail Maintenance
    • Remove new growth, deadfall, and brush to ensure a safe and great ski/ride experience
    • Use chainsaws to buck and limb trees as needed for guest safety and trail quality
    • Hike and work across steep, uneven terrain in remote areas of the mountain
  • Vegetation & Fire Smart Work
    • Perform vegetation control in overgrown areas to maintain summer access and reduce fire risk
    • Support FireSmart projects through ladder fuel reduction, brush thinning, and selective tree removal
  • Ensure safe tool operation and compliance with environmental best practices
  • Maintain and perform routine maintenance on tools and chainsaws
  • Assist the crew with other duties as assigned
  • Follow and perform all company and departmental policies and safety procedures
