About the role

Flyover is seeking a Sales & Marketing Intern to join us for the summer season . The focus of this role is to support the execution of strategic initiatives that drive brand visibility and increase ticket sales throughout the busy summer season. Key responsibilities include connecting with hotel concierges and tourism partners across the city, building strong relationships, and encouraging them to recommend the Flyover experience to their guests.

What is the compensation for this role? The range for this role is $18-22 per hour.

What will you do in this job?

  • Represent Flyover Vancouver in the tourism community by proactively visiting hotel concierges and affiliate partners to build strong relationships, deliver marketing materials (e.g., brochures, coupons), and distribute commission cheques.
  • Onboard new hotel concierge partners to Flyover’s Integrated Booking Engine (IBE), enabling them to seamlessly sell tickets directly to guests.
  • Serve as a brand ambassador, effectively communicating the value of the Flyover experience to both partners and the public.
  • Coordinate and host engaging FAM (Familiarization) tour experiences for travel trade partners, media representatives, and influencers to promote Flyover’s offerings.
  • Provide on-the-ground support for private events and group bookings, ensuring smooth execution and a premium guest experience.
  • Support the Marketing Team in the development and production of materials, including proofreading, fact-checking, and coordinating print assets.
  • Assist with updating and maintaining in-attraction signage to ensure a consistent and high-quality guest experience.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

What skills and experience do you need for this job? Education

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a post-secondary program in Marketing, Business, Tourism, Communications, or a related field, required.
  • Coursework or academic projects related to marketing strategy, digital marketing, consumer behavior, or tourism marketing, an asset.

Ideal Experience

  • Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or sales is an asset but not required.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools, content creation, or basic design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is an asset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated through academic work, presentations, or customer-facing roles.
  • Understanding of the Vancouver tourism landscape or local attractions is a plus.
  • Fluency in a second language (especially Mandarin, Spanish, French, or Japanese) is an asset due to the international visitor base.
