About the role
TAC Sports Mission:
The mission of TAC Sports is to provide children with the most personable, growth-oriented recreational and academy sport development. We strive to build the life skills, sports skills, self-confidence, and self-image of our wonderful students. Hip hop based mainly.
Afterschool Programs Details:
Our afterschool programs run from September to June for a 1 Hour session (plus early arrival): 3:30pm to 4:30 pm, 3:15pm to 4:45pm, 4:00pm to 5:00pm.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Lead, supervise, and promote the safety of all participants.
- Building a strong relationship with school administration and faculty.
- Prepare lessons, and lesson plans according to the required curriculum.
- Teaching students using a variety of different techniques including discussions, visual demonstrations, guided discovery.
- Nurture and develop all athletes potential skills and abilities.
- Evaluate students progress and discuss results with students.
- Participate in staff meetings and required training.
- Motivate Students for success.
- Enforce safety rules and regulations.
- Additional duties as prescribed.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children aged 3.5-12 (JK & SK) Gr. 1-8
- NCCP Coaching certification (or equivalent) preferred.
- Background knowledge and experience in Basketball or other sports.
- Current Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Standard First aid and CPR C.
- Strong communication skills.
- Bilingual - English/French an asset.
Compensation:
Compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications. TAC Sports welcomes applications from people with disabilities and will provide accommodation as required by law upon request.
Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal, Internship / Co-op.
Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour.
Additional pay: Bonus pay.
Schedule: Monday to Friday.

TAC Sports specializes in teaching soccer (recreational and academy), tennis and basketball to children age 4-15. Located throughout the GTA, TAC Sports provides a safe and comfortable learning environment where children can improve their skill and feel more confident about themselves.
With a low instructor to student ratio, students receive personalized development plans and constant feedback throughout the program. Our unique team of coaches provide a nurturing and fun environment which will ensure that your sports star is excited about coming back.
