About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Financial Applications, Brookfield Renewable is seeking a skilled and motivated Business Analyst, HR Applications, to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing day-to-day support of the HR Applications, including core HCM and Payroll systems. This role focuses on ensuring the smooth operation of the applications, resolving user issues, maintaining data integrity, and supporting routine HR processes. The incumbent will work closely with various stakeholders’ groups to address immediate needs, troubleshooting problems, and ensure the applications continue to meet operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily support to HR users, including troubleshooting issues, answering inquiries, and resolving system-related problems in a timely manner.
  • Monitor system performance and data integrity, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information across all HR Applications.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance and IT teams to address and resolve operational issues and user requests.
  • Assist with routine system maintenance, including user access management, data updates, and configuration changes.
  • Support business growth and HR processes by ensuring accurate and timely updates to HR Applications and related interfaces. This includes employee data changes, maintenance of master data and relevant system configurations.
  • Document support procedures and maintain user guides and FAQs to enhance self-service capabilities.
  • Participate in testing and validation of system patches or minor updates to ensure minimal disruption to daily operations.
  • Escalate complex issues to technical teams and follow up to ensure resolution.
  • Maintain effective communication with stakeholders to provide updates on issue resolution and system status.
  • Support yearly audit cycles, including walkthroughs with auditors and timely provision of supporting documentation and evidence.
  • Perform other duties assigned to support the ongoing functionality and reliability of the HR Applications.

Knowledge and Experience Required

  • Demonstrated experience supporting HR and payroll functions, with a strong understanding of HR data structures, workflows, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong aptitude for troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving technical issues within HR Applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret business needs and translate them into system and operational requirements.
  • Ability to prioritize and work effectively in a fast-paced, fast-changing environment with tight deadlines, efficiency in time management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to act proactively and promptly on urgent issues and requests.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally and effectively with executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work in a conscientious, consistent, and thorough manner.
  • experience with HRIS platforms such as UKG, Workday, SuccessFactors, or similar systems.
  • Experience developing and maintaining HRIS reports, SQL, business intelligence tools, and report building is considered an asset.
  • Between 1- and 3-years’ experience supporting HR/Payroll as Business Analyst or similar role.
  • Experience and understanding of compliance requirements and audit cycles related to HR/Payroll considered a strong asset.
  • A degree in Human Resources or related field is considered a strong asset.

Note: Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Brookfield’s identity. This position requires the employee to be on-site for a minimum of 4 days to perform most effectively.
