Mississauga, Canada Engineering Support Technician As the Engineering Support Technician, you will provide technical and process support to the Engineering team and collaborate across departments to assist with training coordination, product launches, equipment troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role will involve hands-on work with documentation, process mapping, and support systems such as Salesforce and IT ticketing tools.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for the Training Coordinator during product launches and other general training activities
  • Create documents and Work Instructions as needed
  • Provide feedback and participate in IT/T ticketing process
  • Assist with new product releases and process/product changes
  • Investigate and provide technical support for Salesforce cases
  • Perform facility tours and orientations
  • Provide technical support for process-related issues and solutions
  • Actively contribute to Continuous Improvement initiatives in Operations
  • Follow up with actions from Gemba findings
  • Maintain MSDS documentation and ensure adherence to Health Canada database requirements
  • Support equipment maintenance and manufacturing functions
  • Provide basic computer troubleshooting and production equipment support
  • Deliver basic training for employees when required
  • Support any other tasks as assigned by management

Travel Requirements Yes (occasional)

More about you:

  • Secondary education or equivalent required
  • 1+ year in a related technical role
  • Technical experience in assembly or troubleshooting preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and detail orientation
  • Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable using MS Office and documenting process updates
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of French or additional languages is a plus
  • Knowledge of SAP and Salesforce is an asset
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

A minimum of 200Mb/sec download and 10Mb/sec upload speed internet connectivity is required to support any remote/hybrid employee functionality at Sonova
