Content Creator & Digital Marketing Specialist
About the role
About the Role
Beaver Wheelchairs is looking for a creative and outgoing Content Creator & Digital Marketing Specialist to help us tell the story of our wheelchairs in a real, relatable way. This isn’t a traditional videographer role — it’s about authentic social content, capturing real reactions, and helping people understand what makes our Canadian-designed wheelchairs stand out.
You’ll be out in the field — whether that’s interviewing a physiotherapist at their clinic, chatting with a passerby at the park, or filming yourself explaining why our chairs are ideal for Canadian terrain and winters. We want someone who can connect, adapt, and create content that feels human and honest, not corporate.
What You’ll Do
- Create authentic video and photo content of our wheelchairs in parks, clinics, events, and street settings
- Interview people on the street, at events, or in clinics — both professionals and the general public
- Film direct-to-camera pieces, explaining key features and highlighting what makes our wheelchairs uniquely suited for Canadian users
- Capture and edit short-form video for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Meta/Google ads
- Scout local spots to create visually interesting and real-life demo content
- Help build and manage a content calendar that supports marketing goals and product launches
- Ensure all content is inclusive, respectful, and reflects our Canadian roots and values
Who You Are
- A confident on-camera communicator or interviewer who enjoys creating with spontaneity and purpose
- Skilled in shooting and editing content for social-first, mobile-friendly formats
- Comfortable talking to strangers, filming outdoors, and thinking creatively on the go
- Based in Toronto/GTA with flexibility to travel locally for shoots
- Able to work independently, manage logistics, and bring your own gear (smartphone rigs welcome if optimized for socials)
- Passionate about inclusive content and storytelling that connects with real people
Bonus Points If You Have
- Experience working with accessibility or mobility-related topics
- Prior connections in the Toronto rehab or healthcare space
- Understanding of paid social ads and what types of content perform best
- Interest in building a brand that reflects Canadian identity and quality
Job Type: Freelance
Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
Application question(s):
- Please submit your portfolio showing your work
- What is your experience with videography?
- What software do you use to edit videos?
Work Location: Remote
