The Restorative Care Coordinator is a critical role within our communities as it impacts the lives of residents and ignites the warmth of human connection.
As a Restorative Care Coordinator your typical day will impact in the following ways:

Providing for restorative care including personal care in accordance with established policy, physician’s orders, and resident plan of care within the scope of practice.

Assisting in maintaining an environment appropriate to meet residents individualized needs.
-
Responsible for maintaining accurate and complete records of restorative care delivered.
-
Educating Personal Support Workers, Dietary, Nursing, and Volunteers to assist in the delivery of the Restorative Care program.

Demonstrating professional working knowledge of all equipment used in the delivery of nursing care.

Performing other duties as assigned.
Must haves:
-
Completion of a recognized post-secondary degree and/or a two-year diploma with a restorative focus at the community college level in a health related field inclusive of PTA/OTA assistant program with relevant restorative course supplemented by the restorative care program certificate program.

Knowledge of the specific needs of older adults diagnosed with dementia.

Knowledge of MDS/assessment tool and coding techniques.

Basic computer skills.
