Job Description
As an Associate, Business Intelligence, you will gather, analyze, manage, and report on financial related data to provide actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders, supporting their strategic decision-making processes. You will also deliver visual and dynamic analytical solutions by providing an integrated and independent view of key metrics with self-serve monitoring dashboards and reports.

The team plays a vital role in delivering high-impact insights and solutions that support the Fund’s long-term performance and operational excellence. We sit at the intersection of data, technology, and strategic decision-making - collaborating with investment professionals, functional teams, and senior leaders across the organization. The team fosters a collaborative environment that encourages learning, mentorship, and cross-functional engagement. Accountabilities:

Support Product Owners with leading the analysis, prioritization, planning and delivery of new features and capabilities based on user needs.

Business analysis and Data Analysis to support requirement documentation for data extraction, profiling, transformation, and validation tasks.

Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable insights from large datasets
-
Design and maintain data validation checks to ensure high-quality and reliable datasets.

Participate in testing of technology deliverables (e.g., user acceptance testing) and support documentation of results.

Partner effectively with multiple stakeholders to deliver effective and compelling presentations, creating advanced visual displays of complex quantitative information.

Independently develop and automate advanced reports, iteratively building and prototyping dashboards to provide insights at scale for complex situations, solving for analytical needs.

Lead and assist in the infrastructure for the storage, integration, and use of data and databases with the team.

Lead conversations with groups inside and outside the department to procure data, resolve technical challenges, and align on data needs, roles & responsibilities.

Manage your own workload to perform time-sensitive requests accurately and on time, while building effective working relationships within your team and across various groups at CPP Investments.

Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data analytics and reporting to enhance skills and capabilities.
Qualifications

Undergraduate degree or college diploma in related field

5+ year of relevant experience

Relevant professional designation (e.g., MBA, CPA or CFA) or progression toward one considered an asset.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience working with SQL and working knowledge of Python is nice to have

Demonstrated ability to produce insightful analysis of business issues and suggest potential solutions for complex situations.

Knowledge and/or experience of Agile and Product Management concepts considered an asset.

Advanced experience working with large data sets, using superior analytical skills, having a strong attention to detail and ability to communicate complex topics
